THE DAY HAS PASSED, BUT THERE IS STILL TIME TO TAKE ACTION

On January 9th, New Yorkers will join people across all 50 states in sending a message to every US Senator: reject Donald Trump’s reckless climate denying cabinet nominees.

The Day Against Denial will fight back against some of Trump’s most dangerous cabinet picks that threaten the North Country’s clean water and other natural resources. The nominees include:

– Rex Tillerson, CEO of ExxonMobil, for Secretary of State. ExxonMobil’s $500 billion oil deal got blocked by US sanctions on Russia. Tillerson reportedly has approximately $150 million in ExxonMobil stock.

– Scott Pruitt for EPA Administrator

– Ex-Gov. Rick Perry for Secretary of Energy

– Rep. Ryan Zinke for Department of Interior

We are also expressing concern to Senator Schumer about other positions that place the corporations before New Yorkers.

The climate is changing, and anyone who denies this shouldn’t be in the White House cabinet. It’s up to the Senate to stop these nominations — and it’s up to us to tell our Senators to fight Trump’s Climate Denial Cabinet.

To take easy action, please download the following letters to Senators Schumer and Gillibrand, modify as you wish, and send as soon as possible.
